About Sunrise
Founded in 2020 as Sunrise School, a preschool program serving 14 families, Sunrise School now provides preschool education to more than 60 students. Originally starting as a small business, we have now expanded to a capacity of over 60 kids.
Though we have grown, we remain a community-centered school that seeks to nourish each child in the seven domains (spiritual, mental, social, natural, emotional, creative, and physical).
Sunrise School provides a holistic curriculum in an open classroom setting. Creativity, imagination, critical and divergent thinking, problem solving, as well as appreciating a world of various cultural and spiritual values, are central to our curriculum. Community service, service learning, and multiage classroom experiences are also an integral part of our curriculum.

Curriculum
Sunrise School offers a holistic curriculum for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, focusing on seven domains: spiritual, mental, social, natural, emotional, creative, and physical.
For infants, the program emphasizes sensory experiences and a secure, loving environment. Toddlers engage in interactive play that encourages social interaction and independence, while preschoolers explore self-expression, teamwork, and community service in a stimulating setting.
Kindergarteners deepen their understanding through structured activities, critical thinking projects, and advanced creative tasks. Across all age groups, the curriculum promotes healthy habits, mindfulness, and comprehensive development, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching learning experience.

They are wonderful! Sunrise School is a safe, super-clean, bright, and happy place. They genuinely love each of the kids and go above and beyond to make each day special: adorable crafts, reading time, dance parties, outdoor playtime, etc. Our daughter went there first, and now our 20-month-old goes there. We love the updates and gorgeous photos on BrightWheel, and always know our little boy is safe and happy there.

We had a great experience at Sunrise! They provide a loving and enriching environment. We appreciated the updates throughout the day with photos, eating and napping. They were flexible with our schedules. Have engaging toys, activities and did lots of artwork.
They provided meals and snacks and even worked with our picky eater. We knew our son was safe and well cared for with them.

My wife and I used Sunrise for our first child and couldn’t have been more satisfied. They showed genuine joy and concern watching our baby and they took every measure to make sure that we knew she was in good hands. The facility is very well decorated and conducive to a learning environment.

We love Sunrise Schoo! Our daughter started at the Sunrise School at 5-months old and has quickly blossomed into a healthy, happy, social, and smart toddler with the guidance and support of their wonderful childcare program. We know she is in great care there and appreciate the constant updates and photos we receive throughout the day. I also appreciate that our daughter has rarely - if ever - came home sick from catching a bug at the Sunrise School compared to other friends of ours with babies and toddlers. Our son started attending Sunrise School about a year ago, and we could not have been happier with our choice. They are phenomenal kind people, always with a smile on their faces and ready to make our little ones feel like Sunrise is just like a second home. We had attended a few other well known schools before, but it was here that we found exactly what we were looking for. Our son has displayed tremendous intellectual and social growth. Despite the added challenge that we speak Portuguese at home, our son’s development has been as quick as all other toddlers and that is certainly a statement of their ability to foster a inclusive and always joyful ambient for all.
A few other highlights for us are:

- He has gotten sick WAY less than while frequenting bigger schools;

Sunrise School is an amazing place. My 3 years old son has been going there for more than a year now and we absolutely love this place. They are very caring, flexible, welcoming and knowledgeable in childcare and they are committed to provide a safe, fun and loving environment.
Their place is very clean and colorful with lots of cool toys for kids. We can see the growth and learning every day and they provide almost real time update of all activities such as meals, sleep, potty etc. You would also get a couple of perfect pictures during their learning activities.

We cannot provide high enough praise for Sunrise School! Our daughter, who has not always loved going to other schools, absolutely loves both of them. She walks in every day and goes straight to each of them to give them big hugs, and they greet her with the most sincere, kind welcome. They provide constant updates and pictures throughout the day, and we can see how much fun she is having, different activities the kids are doing, and everything she is learning. We know our daughter is in good hands every day we drop her off. To say they have wildly exceeded any of our expectations would be an understatement. They have been incredible.

My husband and I are so grateful to find such a great place for our children to attend and have a piece of mind. They are so kind, sweet, and loving towards all the children. She is also very reliable and dependable especially with communication with us. The kids always look so excited and happy whenever I pickup and drop off. I appreciate how organized, structured (learning), and clean Sunrise School is. They provide daily meals and snacks which is great because it is one less thing to worry about. They really do a great job keeping the kids engaged with outdoor time in a safe outdoor area and lots of arts and crafts for us parents to treasure. They also use a cool app called Brightwheel that gives us realtime updates of photos, diaper changes, meals, and nap times. I always appreciate those updates especially at work when I am missing my littles. They do a great job taking photos that is exciting to save and post worthy. Sunrise School is seriously a very high quality childcare and has totally exceeded my expectations.

I cannot say enough good things about Sunrise School. They are fantastic with our son, which makes us very happy as parents. They’re kind and loving, while also instilling structure. He’s made so many new friends and learned things far beyond our expectations. They are extremely clean and organized, and I really appreciate that they supply meals and snacks daily, as it is one less thing that we need to plan for. They also upload daily pics, potty changes, and meals to an app called Brightwheel for us to see in real time. It’s my one of my favorite things since it makes me feel like I have eyes on my son and how his day is going. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone considering it!

Our family moved from VA to CA and needed childcare for our two year old son. We were really nervous because we didn’t know anyone, but after meeting They I knew we’d found the right place. Our time with them was short because we settled in another city, but they were so accommodating to our questions, our schedule and always kept us up to date on our son.
They treat children like they’re own and it shows! Our son still asks for them! We would recommend them to anyone and they should be very proud of what they created.

Both my children attended Sunrise School, and the experience was fantastic. The children were engaged throughout the day with crafts, story-time and different play & educational activities. They are always very caring and involved with them.
They use the brightwheel app, which updates you on feedings, naps, etc, and pictures were sent of the activities they were doing. I highly recommend this place as a nurturing environment for your children and for the peace of mind knowing they are being well cared for.

Sunrise School is a dream for your childcare needs. My daughter was there from 2 months old until 2 years old, there M-F full time and we only left because we moved out of state. They have an environment that my daughter enjoyed and didn't want to leave at the end of a long 9 hour day. They were so accommodating to our unique needs and we could go to work knowing our daughter was happy, fed, learning, growing, creating strong friendships and developing physically with great outdoor play. They provided great communication, photos and sent home her fantastic daily art. I strongly recommend SFC for your childcare needs!

I can’t say enough positive things about Sunrise. They have become family. We put our daughter in when she was 6 months old. The way she lights up every time she gets there in the morning just warms our hearts! They are super communicative and I love the updates throughout the day on when she is eating, sleeping, potty, etc. The place is always so clean and organized. I can see a drastic difference in our daughters vocabulary compared to our friends who have their kids in other facilities. I don’t how they do it but I feel so fortunate to have found them!
